About Regions Field
Located in the heart of downtown’s Parkside District, Regions Field has served as the home of the Birmingham Barons since its opening in 2013. Its construction marked a historic homecoming for the team, which had spent 25 years playing in the suburbs. By returning to the city center, the stadium revitalized the surrounding neighborhood and reconnected the Barons with Birmingham’s deep baseball roots, situated just a short distance from the legendary Rickwood Field. The ballpark was completed in just 14 months and immediately garnered national acclaim, including being named "Ballpark of the Year" by BaseballParks.com during its inaugural season.
The ballpark is celebrated for its industrial-chic architecture, utilizing brick and steel to pay homage to the city’s heritage as a manufacturing powerhouse. Fans enjoy one of the most scenic backdrops in Minor League Baseball, featuring views of the Birmingham skyline and the Vulcan statue atop Red Mountain. Notable for its 360-degree concourse and the iconic "Birmingham" sign etched into its facade, the park consistently ranks as one of the premier fan experiences in the Southern League.

Event space
Regions Field also has a number of group areas perfect for hosting events and parties. The Diamonds Direct Ballroom is a roomy event facility that features views of the playing field, the downtown skyline and Railroad Park while offering year-round access for groups of all sizes. The Parkside Picnic Area and the Outfield Field Berm offer large outdoor areas for groups up to 1,500. The Home Run Porch, Concourse Suites and Party Suites are available for nightly rentals and provide you and your guests with a unique vantage point of the action on the field.
Regions Field houses 23 fully furnished Luxury Suites as well as a 400-seat Club Seating section, which has access to a VIP Suite Level Lounge. With a host of modern amenities, Regions Field is the perfect destination for families, groups and businesses alike.

2013 Southern League Championship
The Barons christened their new home with a 9-5 win against the Mississippi Braves on April 9th, kick-starting a magical year that saw fans flock to the ballpark in record numbers. A total of 410,186 fans came through the turnstiles during the Inaugural Season, the 4th-highest total in Barons history, helping the Barons to a league-best 44-26 record at home.
The Regions Field trophy case quickly became crowded as the Barons won the Southern League North Division First Half crown and capped the season with the franchise's 14th Championship and first since 2002.
