Appalachian League celebrates charitable contributions of 2021
The Appalachian League announced the league’s charitable outreach totaled more than $2.5 million of gift in kind and monetary donations this year. The league and its teams continued to be actively engaged in safely helping and assisting their local communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ridge Runners serve Thanksgiving meals
The Ridge Runners served 180 meals at the WV Manor, an elderly and financially restricted facility. They also fed on duty officers and fire in Bluefield, W.V., and Bluefield, Va., for a total of 203 meals with deserts.
