FORT MYERS, FL - Opening Day is supposed to bring the hope of success and the promise of a new, full baseball season. Unfortunately for the Threshers, it also brought rain in Fort Myers, postponing the season-opener after rain began to fall in the late afternoon. Because of the heavy rain and wet field, the first game of the 2026 season between the Clearwater Threshers and Fort Myers Mighty Mussels was postponed. Opening Day will now become a doubleheader at Hammond Stadium, with game one beginning at 4:35 pm EST. Game two will begin approximately 40 minutes following the final out of game one.
