CLEARWATER, FL - For the fourth straight season, BayCare Ballpark will host playoff baseball as the Clearwater Threshers won the first-half Florida State League West Division Title. After this week's final homestand of the season, the first round of the postseason will begin on September 8th in Tampa as the

CLEARWATER, FL - For the fourth straight season, BayCare Ballpark will host playoff baseball as the Clearwater Threshers won the first-half Florida State League West Division Title. After this week's final homestand of the season, the first round of the postseason will begin on September 8th in Tampa as the Threshers take on the Tampa Tarpons.

The Threshers will host game two of the FSL West Division Series at BayCare Ballpark on Thursday, September 10th. First pitch will take place at 6:30 PM on Thursday, and if game three is necessary, it will begin at 6:30 PM on Friday, September 11th.

If the Threshers make it back to the finals for the first time since 2023, game one of the Florida State League Championship Series will take place at BayCare Ballpark on Sunday, September 13th, with a 6:30 PM start as well. Game two and, if necessary, game three will be played at the East Division Champion on September 15th and 16th.

The Threshers have played Lakeland in each of their last three postseasons from 2023-2025. Against Tampa in the 2026 regular season, the Threshers and Tarpons have played each other 24 times, two series at each team's ballpark. Tampa owns the head-to-head record at 13-11. The Threshers have swept two doubleheaders this year against the Tarpons, but Tampa won the final two games against the Threshers in August at BayCare Ballpark. Clearwater's last FSL title came in 2007, while the Tarpons have not won since claiming back-to-back league championships in 2009 and 2010.
