MONTGOMERY, AL (August 29, 2026) – The Montgomery Biscuits fell to the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 5-2, on Saturday night at DABOS Park.

Pensacola struck first in the second inning when Brandon Compton launched a solo home run to left field, giving the Blue Wahoos a 1-0 lead. Ethan O'Donnell followed with a solo homer to center field to extend the advantage to 2-0.

The Blue Wahoos added another run in the third on a sacrifice fly by Aiva Arquette that scored Dylan Jasso, making it 3-0.

Montgomery got on the board in the fourth when Will Simpson hit his 24th home run of the season, a solo shot to left field that cut the deficit to 3-1.

Pensacola answered with two runs in the fifth. Arquette singled home Jasso before Juan Matheus followed with a sacrifice fly to score Adrian Santana, extending the Blue Wahoos' lead to 5-1.

The Biscuits trimmed the deficit in the sixth when a passed ball allowed Cooper Kinney to score, bringing Montgomery within three at 5-2.

The Biscuits were unable to generate any further offense, as Pensacola's bullpen held Montgomery scoreless over the final three innings to secure the 5-2 victory.

Simpson's home run and a Ryan Spikes double accounted for Montgomery's only extra-base hits of the night. He finished 1-for-2 with a homer, an RBI, and two walks. Kinney and Justyn-Henry Malloy and Daniel Vellojin also logged hits.

Marcus Johnson (0-2) took the loss after allowing three runs on six hits over 4.0 innings while striking out three. K.C. Hunt followed with 4.0 innings, allowing two runs on four hits with two strikeouts, while T.J. Fondtain worked a scoreless ninth.
