With the game level at 1 and one away in the ninth, Tyler Whitaker went first-to-third on a base hit by Hector Salas. Max Holy, who notched a two-out RBI single in the fourth, snapped the stalemate by notching a base hit to right.

Following a wild pitch and a walk, Chase Call stroked a two-run double to right to put the Hooks up, 5-1.

Call, with 21 home runs and 23 steals on the year, ranks second in the Astros system with 77 RBIs.

Hooks starter Nolan DeVos held Midland to one run over 4 1/3 innings.

Jose Guedez permitted only one walk over 2 2/3 shutout innings, and Ramsey David penned a 1-2-3 eighth for his fourth win.

Amilcar Chirinos survived three walks in the ninth by notching a strikeout to end the game with the tying run at the plate.

Holy, 2-for-4 Friday night, notched an RBI single Wednesday in his return from a two-week stay on the IL.
