Beam Deals Quality Start in Naturals’ 10-1 Loss

SPRINGDALE, AR – Drew Beam tossed his 10th quality start of the season, but the Northwest Arkansas Naturals (27-38, 56-76) fell 10-1 to the Tulsa Drillers (39-26, 85-49) on Wednesday night at Arvest Ballpark. The Naturals continue their six-game set against the Drillers on Thursday, with first pitch at 7:05 PM CT.
After the Drillers got the scoring started in the top of the first, the Naturals responded to even things up in the home half. Spencer Nivens singled and Daniel Vázquez doubled off the right-center field wall to bring in Nivens.
Tulsa scored two in the fourth to retake the lead, and Beam finished strong in his final start of 2026. The right-hander allowed three runs over six innings and struck out five batters. Beam spun his 10th quality start of the season and recorded a 3.60 ERA across 30.0 frames over his last five outings.
The Drillers plated seven runs over the final three innings to take a 10-1 advantage. After Connor Scott led off the seventh with a triple, nine consecutive Naturals were set down to end the contest.
