SALEM, Va. – The Salem RidgeYaks will be hosting its annual media day on Wednesday, April 1^st at 11:30 A.M. at Mac & Bob's in downtown Salem, located at 316 East Main Street.

Media Day will provide an opportunity to meet the 2026 Opening Day roster, including returning manager Ozzie Chavez.

“We are excited to welcome our 2026 roster and coaching staff to the Salem community,” said General Manager Allen Lawrence. “What better way to kick off the season than at Mac & Bob’s, an integral part of the Salem business community and a long-standing supporter of Salem baseball.”

Interviews with players and coaching staff will be available during the luncheon, at practice on Tuesday, March 31^st from 6:00–7:30 P.M., and during an exclusive media practice on Wednesday afternoon.

The RidgeYaks will take the field under their new identity for the first time on Thursday, April 2^nd, when they host the Delmarva Shorebirds on Opening Day at Carilion Clinic Field. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
